LYNNE BOUDREAUX - Syllabus Program Director
Lynne has been teaching
International Syllabus in a youth program for 2 years. Lynne
is a BYU Tour Team Alumni. She completed her ISTD Latin and
Standard Medals exams while at BYU. She is a 2-time USADA Latin
Champion. Lynne took 1st place or was a finalist in Latin,
Standard, and 10 Dance throughout North America, including:
San Francisco Open, Yankee Classic, Emerald Ball, Embassy Ball,
Open to World, Snowball Classic, etc. Lynne was also a Latin
semi-finalist at the Closed World Invitational in Bucharest,
Romania. She has also been a finalist at various events throughout
Eastern Europe. She competed at Blackpool and the UK Championships. |

BRENT & KATIE MECHAM
Youth Premier Team Directors
Brent and Katie graduated
from Brigham Young University where Brent received his
Masters of Accountancy with a minor in Ballroom Dance and
Katie received her BA degree in Design. While at BYU, they
danced and toured with the Ballroom Dance Company stateside
and abroad. Brent and Katie were instructors and teaching
assistants for all types of ballroom dance including: Latin,
Standard, American/Social, and Country. In 2000 they held
the Dancesport Cabaret title and in 2002 they held the
National Cabaret Title. They both danced in the Opening
and Closing Ceremonies of the 2002 Winter Olympics. They
are now in their fourth year as choreographers and coaches
with PBD. When they finally take a break from dance, you
can find them on a mountain side or in the woods with their
twin daughters, Ava and Kiara, and their boy Blake. They
are expecting a new addition to the family, a baby girl,
late this summer. |

MATT & HEATHER LONGHURST
Junior Premier Team Directors
Matthew and Heather Longhurst
received most of their ballroom dance training at Brigham
Young University, where they competed in both class syllabus
and open events, completed their ISTD Medals exams, and danced
with the BYU Ballroom Dance Company. In between dance classes,
Matthew managed to complete a BA degree in Public Relations,
and Heather received her degree in English Literature. They
returned to the Seattle area in 2002, and started as instructors
with Pacific Ballroom Dance almost immediately. They are
now in their sixth year as instructors and choreographers
with PBD. In between dance classes, Matthew managed to receive
his Juris Doctorate from the Seattle University School of
Law, and currently works for Merrill-Carlson, PLLC. Last
fall Heather launched a children’s ballroom program,
Barefoot Ballroom, for children ages 3 to 10. Matt and Heather
are blessed with three beautiful daughters - Cora, Sydney,
and Maryn. |

CHRISTINE FRANCE - Youth Backup Team Director
Christine’s husband
has always said, “If life was a musical, where Christine
could constantly dance and sing through life, she would not
ask for anything more.” Christine fell in love with
ballroom dance while taking dance classes at Ricks College
in Idaho. After transferring to Southern Utah University
(SUU) Christine joined the SUU Ballroom Dance Team. While
on the SUU team Christine toured multiple states and even
performed and toured in Mexico. During her years at SUU,
Christine danced in competitions up to the pre-championship
level taking many first place finishes. Christine has always
given back to dance by instructing children, youth groups
and at community and church events. She is thrilled to have
completed her second year of instructing with Pacific Ballroom
Dance Company and looks forward to many more. She currently
lives in Graham with her dashing husband Gary and their four
fantastic children, Raye, Joshua, Emilee and Samuel. |

CAM BRIGGS - Junior Backup Team Director
Cam is a Washington native
from Federal Way. Her training began at age 4 and continued
on through graduation from Brigham Young University. Her
dance training includes: ballet, jazz, tap, cheer, drill,
modern & ballroom. She has performed at a variety of
venues including the World Expo, National Karate & Gymnastic
Championships, Disneyland and concerts at BYU. She has choreography
experience ranging from dance recitals (solos and groups)
to school musicals. While at BYU she performed with the Ballroom
Dance Company and was a teacher’s assistant for a social
dance class while she earned her Bachelor of Science degree
in Health & Dance Education. She currently resides in
Fairwood with her husband and 4 children. She is the proud “soccer
mom” of twin boys, Ryan and Tanner, and chauffer to
her two “dancing daughters” Lauren and Kate. |

RICK
GOSSARD - Instructor
Rick has been a professional
Ballroom Instructor and Competitor for over 25 years. His
initial training began as a student of Ballroom Dancing in
Tucson Arizona. After competing as a student he quickly became
interested in dancing as a professional and completed a professional
training program with Arthur Murray franchised dance schools
a year later in 1979. In 1986, Rick became a partner in a
Fred Astaire franchised dance school in Minneapolis, Minnesota,
where he continued his study and teaching of Ballroom dance.
Looking for growth opportunities, Rick came to the Pacific
Northwest in 1988 and opened his own Fred Astaire School
early in 1989. He has been in the Pacific Northwest ever
since. He currently operates Northwest DanceSport in Federal
Way, Seattle, Bellevue and Spokane. He has competed professionally
in American Style Smooth and Rhythm, International Standard
and Theater Arts. He currently teaches students and is an
active Pro/Am competitor in all categories. |

DANELLE HUDOCK - Instructor
For Danelle Hudock it all started with dancing in the kitchen on her Daddy’s feet. From there it grew into classic forms of dance. Eleven years ago she was introduced to Ballroom dancing and it was love at first sight. She trained for six years with Pacific Ballroom Dance team then moved onto continue her dance education at Brigham Young University. |
